Time Management for a project work

Time management is an important aspect for delivering the projects on time. This help one to monitor the work, plan the work based on time(when there is lack of time). This could  bring a credit to the team and lot more. Things which I mentioned above in (Mind map) is what I suggest to follow for the entire project. I know this cannot be applied for all kind of projects. But I am sure this would be a sample to create a proper time management for different projects. This include
1.Planning
2.Preparing the document
3.Review the document
4.Discussion
5.Modules developed(coding)
6.Change in design
7.Testing
8.Fixing the issues.
Planning:
This phase is for listing the requirements, listing people and  other resources. Let fix a time for the planning phase.Make sure that you won't keep on  continuing(keep on planning) without jumping to next phase.
Document preparation:
Time need to make a  requirement document .This will help the people like (developers and testers to  go-head with their work in making document like (Coding and Testing).
Review:
Review the document after it is being documented and hand over to the technical team . Make sure you do it  soon as much as  possible and help others to speed up their work.
Discussion:
Any discussion either before the project starts or at middle of the projects or daily discussion, allot a time for that.
Coding:
Tell team about the  time needed  to develop a module.Try to make it on the mentioned date(if there is no change in design).
Change in design:
Allot a time to make a change in the designing, even if it is to be done in the middle of the projects.
Testing:
Tell the time needed to test a module or the entire projects.
Fixing the issues:
After testing when there is a fix mention a time for that .

Can Certification make you an Expert?

I know different people have different opinion on this question. But on my perspective I could say it’s totally depends on his/her approach. Few people believe that doing certification would help them to get a job and for someone who are already in job, they just prefer to add more values to their profile. But, it has no value at all if your target is focused only on successful completion of examination without knowing at least the purpose of doing it. The certification can be done in various ways. The value is based on knowing the purpose of doing it. You might have come across various certifications like (ISTQB, CPST, CCNA, CCNP, SUN Certifications, Microsoft certifications, the number count is huge and it’s not that much easy to list out all. Okay, have you questioned yourself to know the reason for choosing it?
When the certification has its own value?
The certification always holds its own value. Smile… But it is up to the people to make it worth full or worthless.
The certification holder so called (certifier) could gain more value when the purpose of doing is known to him/her. But, not on only the intention of completing the exams.
Gaining the certification without gaining knowledge in it seems to be like having a pen and don’t know how to handle it. Now, what can you do with the pen if you don’t know how to handle it to write?
How to prefer a certification?
The certification has to be done to “test your knowledge” in a concerned domain/ subject. If you are focusing only on the syllabus and appearing for the exam then it is of less use and some time it is of no use at all. What you could do with a pen without knowing how to handle it. The certificate is like a pen and the knowledge is like knowing how to handle? If you know how to handle and don’t have a pen then again it’s of no use. So, if you know something and want to know how much you have learned and what else to be learned, you can go for the certification. It’s one way of testing your knowledge.

What made you to do certification?
This question has lot of answers.
1. Company needs
2. Everyone prefers so I prefer to do
3. To showcase to others (Making impression)
4. Adding value to resume, etc.
5. Own interest

Make sure
1. To know what your target is?
2. To Question yourself. Whether doing a certification help me to reach my target?
3. If yes, then plan how to make it

Remember, Certification will help you to test your knowledge not your skills always. Skill is what adds value to your job not the knowledge alone.
